A community-built performance space that hosts intimate acoustic folk music circles during the annual festival held on the site. Constructed over multiple seasons alongside local craftspeople, the project became an opportunity to learn through making rather than through design alone.
Section and Elevation
Working with stone masonry, timber framing, earthen walls, lime, wattle and daub, and green roofing, I developed a practical understanding of traditional building systems and the relationships between materials, detailing and construction sequencing. Alongside the build, I contributed to construction documentation and code compliance, exploring how vernacular building techniques can be translated into contemporary practice while retaining their material integrity.
